Radiology Fellowship Program
As the leader in vascular access devices, Bard Access Systems has created a unique fellowship program for radiologists. The program is intended to provide the practicing radiologist with an opportunity to observe a wide variety of vascular access procedures and techniques from other leading interventional radiologists experienced in vascular access device placement. The visiting fellow can discuss the pre-procedural evaluation and post-procedural management (short and long-term) of patients undergoing vascular access procedures.

Assessment Advantage SM
This broad based vascular access assessment program is the first of its kind. Once implemented, the program will help hospitals achieve positive economic and clinical outcomes. The objectives of the program are to:

- Decrease material and labor costs
- Preserve patient's vascular status
- Shorten patient's length of stay

PICC Education
Bard Access Systems offers an eight hour PICC Workshop to our current and potential customers. The Workshop's focus is on the Registered Nurse's clinical skills and responsibilities needed to insert and manage PICC Lines effectively. The Workshop covers Anatomy/Physiology, Indications/Contraindications, Insertion, Complications, Care/Maintenance, Legal Issues, Quality Assurance, and Patient Education/Discharge Planning. There is a Practicum Component where the participants practice simulated PICC insertions on training aids. CEU Certificates are given to RN's who complete the Workshop. CathLink® 20 Implanted Ports, Educational Services, C.A.P.
A brand new program to support the latest innovation in totally implanted central
catheterization, the CathLink 20 Implanted Port. This new support service called CathLink
Assistance Program (C.A.P.) utilizes Bard Access Systems' highly trained and qualified
peripheral catheter nurse consultants to assist accounts with training and implementation of
CathLink implanted ports. Since the CathLink 20 Port is new to the medical field and its use
is unique among other central catheter lines, C.A.P. provides the essential training required for
our customers to get started. The C.A.P. training will include the following:
- Accessing techniques required for the CathLink 20 Ports
- Maintenance requirements for the CathLink 20 Ports
- Troubleshooting and problem solving with use of the CathLink 20 Ports
- Placement techniques for non surgical specialists
